About Lyonhart Jewellery

Lyonhart Jewellery is solely owned and operated by myself, Arline Lyons. I was introduced to beads by a Japanese friend who made her own three-dimensional "motifs" and jewellery using Swarovski crystals as a hobby and was kind enough to give me some of them and introduce me to shops selling beautiful handmade glass beads and design books.

Since I returned from Japan in winter 2003 I've been gathering beads and equipment and started out making designs from books - particularly those of Takako Samejima - and then progressed to making my own designs for family and friends. In March 2005 I decided to take the plunge and set up my own site dedicated to showing and selling my work. It's been a rocky road since then, with far less time to spend on the site and my jewellery since I went back to work full time in 2006.

The gallery has many of my past works, made for myself or others. If you see anything you like in the gallery that isn't in the shop, feel free to enquire about it - I should be able to reproduce any of the designs although the short production runs of some beads and natural variations and possible supply shortages for semi-precious stones means I can't guarantee an exact match for the colours.
