Custom Orders
Our speciality and the core of our business is custom orders. This is your chance to have the piece of your dreams, with as much or as little involvement in the design process as you wish.
So, for that truly unique item for yourself or a special gift, just leave it to us!
How does it work?
When you contact us to start a custom order, we'll take some information from you to help set the basic design - what kind of jewellery, length, width and shape, colours and style. Then you can set your budget for the order and choose what materials are used, including semi-precious stones, pearls, crystals and glass. The minimum amount is just £30.
We will then ask for a deposit of approximately 50% of your budget in advance to cover design costs and purchase of materials, and set an approximate delivery date. If that date is impacted by a delay in ordering materials or any other factor we will let you know as soon as possible.
A preliminary design will be submitted to you for approval, with supporting photographs of the materials and any other relevant items. Once we have your approval we will start work.
Updates will be provided to you throughout the process right up until completion, when we will invoice for the remaining amount and then your piece will be despatched by Special Delivery.
Notes
- If you have a fabric, garment or other piece of jewellery you want your order to match, please supply us with a sample or photograph and we can work from that. Anything sent to us will be returned.
- We will also create necklaces or bracelets using pendants or other items, including re-using beads from old or broken pieces.
- Commercial jewellery can seldom be recreated, but we will endeavour to create a similar or matching piece from photographs so long as it can be made by hand.
- We can also repair items, so long as they are made from techniques that we can replicate - bead stringing and bead weaving. Soldered or joined metal components are not our speciality and are are best referred to a traditional jeweller who will accept metalwork repairs.
- As all the jewellery on the site is handmade by us, we can always produce a piece in a different colour - just let us know your preference.
- If you need some inspiration, have a look at the Lyonhart Gallery of Work, where you can also see past commissions.
