Purple and gold pearls and crystal flowers

The flower-like crystal rounds - made with Swarovski Violet and Violet Opal bicone crystals - are decorated with gold freshwater pearls and Japanese cyclinder beads in light and dark purple, iridescent gold and bronze.

The final design contained the rounded shapes and pearl dangles from the original, while being heavily influenced by the delicate monofilament weave motifs used in contemporary Japanese beading.

This was my most ambitious project so far and was a success both from a design standpoint and for the client, who was very happy with the end result.
