Beadweaving

Weaving using beads, with or without a loom, is an ancient form of creating ornaments. The main types of weaving I use are peyote, herringbone (or Ndbele) and spiral weave.

Spiral weave produces stunning necklaces and bracelets, with its core of coloured seed beads topped with a spiral of pressed glass beads, crystals or any other bead that provides an accent. These are without a doubt the necklaces that produce the most comments when worn, and that most people want for themselves or others.

Making a spiral weave necklace is very time-consuming - four hours for a short or five hours for a slightly longer one. This means that they will be expensive to produce and so will normally only be made to order, in the colours and beads that you select.
